Peaty taste. Nothing too special about this one. At least I get to check MO off my list of states.
Tap - good size foamy head, nice medium amber color, balanced malty aroma and flavor, mild smoke notes, not bad overall

The beer pours a slightly hazy copper with a medium off-white head that fades rapidly. The aroma blends caramel and toasted malts, a touch of smoke, and yeast, and the taste is mildly sour, slightly umami, and a touch sweet. The mouthfeel blends a medium-full body, slick texture, soft carbonation, and a malty yet sour finish. crossovert (12927) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 9, 2014
355ml twist off bottle. Amber/gold pour, foamy white head. Noticeable smoke and toast in the smell. The flavor continues this profile, slight smoke goes with some sweet malt tones and very light herbal hops. Suffers from weak body but otherwise nice. Certainly looks like they cleaned itup this year looking at old reviews. BOSSbrewer (2705) - Arkansas, USA - MAR 13, 2014
Had with the bjcp group. Pours a clear amber with a thin off white head. Flavor had some caramel. Some smoke in the flavor. Just a little. Drinkable. tnkw01 (1753) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 6, 2013
Bottle. Never had a bad beer from this brewery. Deep red color. Very light tan head. Smoky, caramel, toast aroma. Taste is a smoky flavor. Good stuff.

Bottle poured into a brandy snifter. Pours a darker ruby with a beige head of foam. The aroma is peaty, musty, grassy. Taste is subdued bitterness. Medium bodied. BVery (10510) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - OCT 6, 2013
UPDATED: DEC 23, 2013 Bottle. Clear amber pour. Absolutely god awful - smell isn’t ridiculously bad, but it tastes like band aids. Disgusting. chinchill (4993) - South Carolina, USA - AUG 19, 2013
Poured this Irish Red Ale from a 12 oz bottle into a snifter.
Poured clear red-amber with a small tan head that soon reduces to a thin partial coat and left only small rings of lacing.
Aroma: looks fine but has a pronounced smell of a Band-Aid; yes, plastic/rubber band-aid dominates, with some malts in the background.
T: Unfortunately, the flavor is, at best, no better; the band-aid impression is even clear in tasting.
O: Avoid! dfinney23 (3269) - Houston, Texas, USA - AUG 11, 2013
Suitably red with a small white head. Nice hop/malt balance with a touch of smoke to liven up the proceedings. WooPigBrewey (46) - North Little Rock, Arkansas, USA - AUG 3, 2013
Overall the body and flavor is sort of thin, but it’s got a bit of caramel malts, some toffee and just a hint of earthiness. Unoffensive, but certainly not a big or bold Irish Red.
