Served in snifter at brewery. Dark brown with moderate carbonation. Watery flavor with some smoke but not as malty as could be desired. Clean finish but not a great porter.

Drank from a pint glass poured from a twelve ounce bottle. Pours black! with a tiny bit of beige head. Smells smokey and syrupy. Tastes pretty gross and thick. I’m definitely a porter fan but not this one.

UPDATED: AUG 15, 2015 Super-dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is smokey. It doesn’t quite taste like a smoked porter, but reminds me a lot of Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier Urbock. The porter is back in there, though, I can tell. A good smoked beer, but not outstanding.
