4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is very good. It reminds me of the Alaskan Smoked Porter, except that I can actually buy this one here and for a reasonable price too ($3.99 for a bomber). I sat outside on a nice evening and drank the beer while smoking a very well-aged La Gloria Cubana Wavell Maduro, a very rich tasting cigar that would overwhelm most beers, but this smoked porter held its own and the two were a perfect match. A good introduction to a smoked beer for someone who has never tried one - there is enough good porter in here so as not to overwhelm the uninitiated.
Aroma: smoked notes and roasted dark malts.
Appearance: black color and creamy head.
Taste: smoked notes, coffee, roasted dark malts, chocolate, ashy, dry.
Palate: low body and medium carbonation, smoky finish.
Overall: Decent smoked porter. AnokaBrewer (207) - Anoka, Minnesota, USA - MAR 1, 2017
Light smoky aroma. Almost no head, but good carbonation. Great light smoke flavor that does not overpower. Slightly sweet finish. dambor (688) - Berlin, GERMANY - NOV 25, 2016
Pours black with medium head disappearing fast. Aroma: nice not too dominating smoke aroma (more of a wood smoke than bacon) coupled with chocolate. Taste: here the chocolate dominates, followed by woody smoke. The taste is a bit more watery, but this makes the brew nicely drinkable. Not the smoked beer of the year, but I like it. jaghana (6066) - Strasbourg (Alsace), FRANCE - NOV 19, 2016
Bottle 355ml, a dark beer with medium head. Nose is on caramel, dark chocolate and smoked notes. Aroma is on dark chocolate and smoked notes, good creamy basis, bit watery but pleasant and well balanced, smooth and rich. Blueshawk (465) - Bad Bellingen, GERMANY - OCT 14, 2016

Dark brown color with brown head that fizzes away really fast. Aroma has smoked malt, charred wood, sweet toasted malts and some brown sugar. Taste starts slightly sweet and malty with some brown sugar and caramel and finishes slightly more roasty and more balanced but overall it’s still on the sweet side. Medium body and carbonation. Overall it’s a legit smoked porter but it’s not special in any way. hrabren (1186) - Zagreb, CROATIA - AUG 10, 2016
Black, tiny off-white head, lacing. Heavily smoked, smoked cheese aroma. Smoke completely overwhelming the flavors, sweetish, smoked salmon. Full body, to much smoke, finish resembling ash aroma. Wasn’t impressed. AbbeyRoade (547) - Missouri, USA - AUG 8, 2016
Excellent brew from O’Fallon. Great to sip on. Nice thick body, full natural smoke flavor that is fresh from the grill. No blocking coffee notes that are usually so overwhelmingly prevalent in porters/stouts. Slight balancing bitterness. Sissio (1643) - Orsenigo, ITALY - JUL 23, 2016

Last beer of the night
A good smoke aroma that is really less present in taste.

12 oz bottle. This was very nice and a unique experience that bears repeating. Don’t miss it!
