COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Inspired by our brewery puppy, Hops, Biere de Guard Dog seems sweet enough will a strong malt presence lead by Munich and Vienna malts. But at 7.3% ABV, it packs a bite. Just ask our delivery guy!

Bottle from Beers of the World into a snifter. Aroma of coriander, citrus, and earthy yeast.

Hazy deep golden hue under a hick ivory head. Thick musty earthy belgianish nose with earthy herbal tones and a thick malty base. Smooth pale malty and semisweet boozy base with a dusty pseudo Belgian estery flavor and sweet boozy aftertouch. Just kinda strong and malty and biscuity and meh.

12 oz bottle. Love their label artwork. Belgian spice, straw, earthiness, a bit of booze in the finish. Wouldn’t want more than one glass but it was enjoyable.

Bottle poured into a brandy snifter. The beer is a clear gold with a white head of foam. Decent head retention. The aroma is doughy and nutty. I get notes of baklava. Nuts and honey. Sweet and a little boozy. Honeycomb. Syrupy mouthfeel. Medium to high carbonation. Thicker mouthfeel.

12 ounce bottle, 6/6/16. Hazy orange, very large foamy white head, good retention. Aroma of bread, yeast, spice, a mild fruitiness, bits of earth, lime and marzipan. The taste is lime, bread, yeast. Full bodied, high carbonation, mild lingering tartness.

12 ounce bottle - $2.99 at Hop City in Atlanta, Georgia. Appearance: Pours a generously clouded, pale amber body with a very thin, off-white head. Smell: Sugar-encrusted, easily toasted breadiness, some spoiled stone fruits, a thin trickle of alcohol, slight spice and an odd, off-putting ferric, soiled note. Woof, indeed. Taste: Bready, lightly toasty malts given a sweet, scantly caramelized glaze. Fruitiness of apples and apricots, though a mite bit past their prime. Minor spice. As with the nose, there’s just a curious, unpleasant element to this one. Semi-dry, foul fruity finish, quite crisp (which, thankfully, helps to scour the taste off the tongue). Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Well carbonated. Overall: Fairly unappealing.

Orange color with a white head. Faint citrus atoma. The flavor is a bit sweet with some yams and citrus. Some spices present. Overall pretty good.

Bottle. Hazy bronze with a light khaki head. Nose of sweet malt and toffee. There is also some peanuts character. Flavor is fairly subtle with some pears and cinnamon. Bits of wood and grass are also present. Smooth and slightly greasy mouthfeel. Warning but surprisingly light for the abv. Decent.

12 ounce bottle. Medium orange color. Sweet. Then yeasty. Then banana. Then sweet.
