Pours a black from a bottle, chocolate malty nose, not much hops, tastes like a weak porter to me. Still tasty. outlawskies (480) - Ohio, USA - OCT 12, 2014

Bomber poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lasting creamy tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, bakers cocoa, earthiness and light grapefruit. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of roastiness, cocoa, earthiness, light smoke, light pine and light grapefruit with a crisp dry bitter lingering roasty finish. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - SEP 16, 2013
22oz bottle. Medium tan head atop black body with brown edge. Aroma is moderately sweet, bittersweet chocolate, roast. Taste is medium sweet, roast, some earthy, chococoffee. Light-medium body, light effervescence. Not hoppy enough for a Black IPA, but decent enough porter. Phatdog1 (179) - Brentwood, New Hampshire, USA - APR 15, 2013
I am happy to have a local brew to rate for my 100th rating! Bomber from Merrimac Liquors. Poured deep brown/ black into a perfect pint which allowed just a touch of light through. Half inch light brown head disappeard into the murky darkness and left some decent lacing. I get alot of sweet malt on the nose with some aroma of mild coffee and smoke. Faint hops in there somewhere. Immediate sweetness from the malt quickly turns into light char and a pleasant dry, hop finish. Not too complex for the style, but relatively easliy drinkable. Really nice balance between the roast and the bitterness.

Dark brown with beige head. Aroma roasted coffee and grapefruit hops. Medium body. Flavor mostly roasted malts and there is some hops in the background but they are not predominant. Flavors are nicely balanced and work well together, maybe a little thin overall though. AirForceHops (7233) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 23, 2012
22 oz. bottle from Julio’s Liquors for $4.29 after Wild Six discount. Nice deep black in color with lasting foamy beige head. Nose is nice roasted malt with citrus and pine hops peeking through. The balance of roast and hops is quite nice. The flavor is what I look for in this style. Chocolate roasted malt, coffee and just the right amount of citrus hops in the finish. Roast and hops linger just a bit. Texture is lightly creamy with a medium body. Pretty respectable brew! beerjo (3) - Massachusetts, USA - NOV 6, 2012 does not count

Kind of disappointed with this one. A dark body with a white head that had some retention and even less lace. seemed watery. Aroma had some nice roasted malts, thinking medium roast coffee. Hops were mainly citrus hops, grapefruit. Coffee notes came through as expected, reminiscent of medium roast coffee. Hops seemed to of set this a bit, grapefruit notes seemed to conflict with the roasted coffee malts leaving what appeared to be a astringent quality. Finish was slightly dry. auerbrau (3203) - Ithaca, New York, USA - JUL 27, 2012
22oz Bottle, purchased at Pier Liquors - Wakefield, RI. Toasty and minty hop aroma, light and fleeting. The flavors get more rich and deep. This is balanced and clean. The dark part of the base tends a little on the bland side of things and the hops are a little reigned in, I think. It’s a clean, balanced beer with a decent body, I just don’t think the flavors really pop for me.
