2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
This was a bottle at the GIBF. Slightly metallic malty aroma with hints of sweetness. Clear honey color with virtually no head. Malty, metallic, roasted malts with a nice hop kick to finish.
Pours hazy brown/red with white head. Caramel, malty, citrus, grapefruit. Taste is clove, grapefruit, citrus, bread. Slightly Bitter finish with light body. Not quite to style. But ok Quick3Beers (1234) - East Falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 27, 2014
Poured from a bottle. Perfect amber color with a slightly off-white head. Aroma is okay, somewhat sweet smelling caramel, some citrusy aromatic hoppiness. Falls apart on flavor, all the notes are there they just aren’t playing together. Sweetness is somewhat off, bitterness is present but unpleasant. Feels thin in the mouth. Somewhat let down after the great pour. Imaena (2327) - Maputo, MOZAMBIQUE - SEP 14, 2013
Wick w/ Dr. Ryan. This is a pretty flimsy amber without much going for it. I would take a Sam Boston over this. SudsMcDuff (8429) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - MAY 31, 2013
bottle. $1 ... . pours out amber copper .. decent foam . .. some mild caramel, 2nd runnings leftover grain .. . light mouth .. . not to shabby i guess
.. . . oh, that’s what the blue water is? .. it’s not good for him, that might explain somethings jkwood04 (5448) - Connecticut, USA - MAR 5, 2013
12oz bottle in a lager glass. Pours amber with an off-white head. Aroma of pale and caramel malts plus a little floral hops. Flavor the same. Average texture. A decent beer for the style but not the best overall.

pours a hazy copper with a thin white head.
aroma is very malty with slight burnt nut note
flavor is more if the same malty with biscuit and nut tones...i don’t get anything from the hops. malty and slightly unbalanced but still pleasant AirForceHops (7240) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - AUG 28, 2012
12 oz. bottle. Unclear amber color. Nose is caramel malt, hops, brown sugar and has a light fruit note. Taste exactly as it smells. It does have a light nut flavor. The fruit is there but hard to really identify. Overall it’s simple and straight forward but I like the balance of malt, hops and nuttiness. Has a bit of a tang from the hops. A bit undervalued if you ask me. nickd717 (4691) - San Francisco, California, USA - JUL 5, 2012
Draft at the brewpub. Mostly clear medium amber color with a one finger head and good lacing. Nutty aroma with a bit of toffee. The flavor has a nutty base, toast, and chocolate. Almost like a brown ale. Medium-bodied with nice carbonation. Tasty brew. Scrapersnbeer (1532) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - JAN 28, 2012
Hazy copper color, some head. Dirty malt aroma...searched for hops in vain. Sweet caramel taste, dried out finish. Good carbonation, light body. Vacation drink for the CinC perhaps. We know he hangs out around here. cakanator (452) - South Hadley, Massachusetts, USA - NOV 16, 2011
12oz bottle. Not really expecting much. Pours out an amber/copper hue, decent lacing. Medium malty nose, but not really anything distinctive. Palate is ok, bitter on the entry, malty finish. Sessionable, but there are so many already on the market that are better.
