Bottle at home in Salisbury, shared with family. Pours amber-brown with a creamy, tan head. Roasty aroma, some toast, char, chocolate, pine, grass. Light to medium sweet flavor, plenty roasty with some piney and grassy bitterness. Light to medium in body with fine carbonation. Charred toast finish, modest roast, burnt wood, grass, pine, burnt chocolate. Pretty nice hop character in here, though I wish it was just slightly sweeter overall. j12601 (13098) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JUN 27, 2012
Bottle. Pours a lightly hazed brown with a medium to large beige head. Roast and cocoa on the nose, a touch of malt. Medium bodied, sweet malt and nutty tones leading into a soft bitterness. Cocoa and nutty bitterness on the finish. Decent and easy drinking. jkwood04 (5463) - Connecticut, USA - JUL 27, 2012
22oz bottle in a styrofoam cup. Pours brown with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of nutty and caramel malts and floral hops. Flavor about the same. Average texture. A decent beer. nickd717 (4886) - San Francisco, California, USA - JUL 12, 2012
Bomber purchased on the Vineyaaahhhd and consumed back in the boring old SF Bay Area. I can just hear Padma Lakshmi saying it: "nickd717, you are top ticker" (of Offshore Ale Co, for the time being). The beer pours a fairly clear dark chestnut color with a small khaki head. Pretty nice aroma, toasty and nutty. The flavor has touches of cocoa, toast, roasted nuts, and caramel. Fairly complex. Mouthfeel is not great though, a bit astringent and thin on the palate. Not a bad beer overall, but I tired of it after a few ounces. BroSpud (2244) - , Massachusetts, USA - APR 27, 2012
Bomber. Pours medium brown with a tan head. Drinkable but bland and a bit on the lighter side. Sweet malty flavors predominate while the hops are barely noticable.

22 oz bottle. A deep ruby brown brew with light tan head. Malty-tart aromas. Body is medium. Flavor is well rounded. Lots of chocolate malts, some hazlenut notes. Very easy drinking. A basic, but flavorful and drinkable brown ale. mcox90 (2131) - Wilton, New Hampshire, USA - APR 9, 2012
Sampled at Brew Woo. Red/brown pour with a 1/2" off white head. Aroma is roasted malt, a bit of caramel, a touch of nuttiness & a hint of hops. Flavor profile follows the nose. Dry palate. Nice, but middle of the road. rmussman (1701) - California, USA - SEP 6, 2012
Sampled in a bomber. Pours deep brown with a thin Lacey head. Quality malts but harsh aftertaste. scarletfire65 (1507) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 18, 2013
Bomber purchased in P-Town. Aroma is nutty, chocolate, caramel. Good sweetness, with roasty chocolate flavors. Lots of hazelnut, with a moderately bitter finish. Light bodied and interesting enough to make it sessionable. Quick3Beers (1418) - East Falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 1, 2016
Pours a brown from a bottle, slight coffee aroma and flavor. But really quite insipid, flat and watery. Not a very good beer.
