On tap at the 10th Annual San Diego Strong Ale Festival: Clear, bright bronze copper with a nicely-lacing wispy white head. Toasty grainy caramel malty aroma has lots of fresh piny hops and some lager yeastiness. Body starts with a nice fresh malty sweetness and some piny clove spice toward a well-balanced toward a drier toasty finish. A unique and enjoyable brew. goldtwins (4319) - Nesconset, New York, USA - FEB 7, 2007
10th Annual SD Strong Ale Fest: Poured a clear copper color with a white head. Aroma of caramel with a large herbal and hoppy aroma. The flavor was herbal and fruity with bitterness from the middle to the finish. Fairly dry finish. Smells like pot. beerguy101 (5364) - Newark, California, USA - JAN 2, 2007
Tasted on tap at the 2006 Pizza Port Strong Ale Fest. This strong lager/Malt liquor pour s deep gold color. Small sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet. A medium bodied Malt liguor. Malts are fruity and sweet. Hops are slightly spicy. Touch of orange and other citrusy. Touch of alcohol hotness at 8.5% but not much. Very malt liquorish in character, but drinkable. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.
