an OK IPA, nothing spectacular. MilkmanDan (1943) - Eagan, Minnesota, USA - SEP 6, 2002
Cask. Name is appropriate, as it smells like a pine tree. While itís supposed to be hoppy, it has very few malts. To me, tastes more under-malted than overhopped. Bit creamy, but too thin and lacks any malt backbone. fredandboboflo (1570) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 28, 2009
Bottle. Aroma hop-forward with pine, dry citrus/grapefruit, resinous bitter hops. Flavor adds in a sweet malt and loads of alcohol, way too much showing for a 6.8% IPA. Odd, unpleasant, lingering bad-bitter finish. Not a favorite. theisti (4113) - Kansas, USA - JUL 1, 2009
22 oz bottle purchased at Chrisí Liquors in San Diego, California. Pour is hazed golden amber with a one inch white head that falls pretty fast. A couple of chunkies floating around. Aroma is initially quite skunky, but that dissipates pretty fast. Behind that is some chemical cardboard, oxidation. Taste is pretty oxidized right away, with vegetal taste and strong citrus orange and grapefruit hop bitterness behind the cardboard. Very grapefruit in character, some light straw malt way in the background. Finish is earthy, with persistent black pepper spiciness. Palate is thin to medium, light carbonation - a little dead tasting. I am certain this bottle was less than 100%. glaze0101 (79) - Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 29, 2008
Draft @ Oggis Carmel Mountain.
Like most of the oggis beers this is nothing special. Good but not great. alight amber colour with a hoppy aftertaste.

Amber orange, moderate head with solid lacing and retention. Aroma is a butterbomb with lesser grapefruit and citrus notes. Medium bodied, moderate to high bitterness. I donít like the diacetyl character in IPAs. Ratman197 (14668) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - JUL 30, 2006
On tap @ Oggis Scottsdale poured a clear copper with a minimal white head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness, pine and a hint of citrus. Palate was light bodied. Flavors of carmel, pine, earthiness and a hint of grapefruit with a lingering bitter finish. GreatLibations (1854) - Last Supper, Arizona, USA - AUG 5, 2007
22ozzie bottle. Brew pours golden w/ a medium sized, spattered froth. Head dies rapidly leaving only partial lace. Smells like industrial adhesives. Medium full nectar w/ minimal residual effers. Itís hoppy w/ balanced malts. Other than that this brew has a defined bitter celery thing going on that totally turns me off. The finish is bittered accordingly. Hazy deep gold, moderate white head. Somewhat odd aroma of damp leaf litter and cooked noodles with a hint of lemon (really not a nice aroma). strong reedy/straw malt flavour with a non-specific dry bitter finish. Compared to the cornucopia of fantastic Cali IPAs out there, this one really falls flat. mrhoppy (1288) - Santa Clara, California, USA - FEB 19, 2013
I taste some coconut in there. Nice aNd hoppy. I have the feeling if I drink a lot of this it would give me a headache. Fortunately this is just a sample.
