9.4%. this poured a hazed golden color with a minimal off white head. the aroma is fairly robust though not complex... lots of bready yeast with notes of apple juice, oranges, herbal/grassiness and some spicy/earth/cloves?. the aroma carries over into the flavor profile along with the addition of a hand full of sugar... this thing is way too sweet. which, for a tripel, does not sit well. there is some herbal grassy hops, astringency and a somewhat dry finish in there but not nearly enough to make any difference. full bodied from the residuals and a sticky mouth feel with an oily texture.
sweet tripel = yuck!
Tap @ Oggi’s MV. Dark golden in color upon pouring. Fairly sweet and yeasty. Lightly spiced with a fairly big bubblegum component. Bartzilla (624) - La Mesa, California, USA - FEB 22, 2008
I had this on tap at the Oggi’s in Mission Valley after a lousy haircut at Sports Cuts, which was conveniently located next door. Toes the line somewhere between a strong hefe and a light tripel. Very tasty and fresh. The pint went down very smooth with those distinct yeasty flavors. The appearance could have passed for a lager. Very light and translucent, but don’t be fooled... this was every bit a tripel and I was happy with the results. trokini (1025) - San Diego, California, USA - JAN 7, 2008
Tap at Mission Valley. Hazy gold with a bubbly white head. Nice, sweet aroma of bubblegum, cloves, yeast, and spice cake. An equally pleasant taste with lost of the bubblegum yeast esters and some banana, clove, and apples. Then there is a weird, sharp, metallic astingent bite towards the back. It pops up with a tart sourness, then goes away. Very odd. Maybe if it was conditioned in a barrel or bottle it would smooth this out. Bockyhorsey (2638) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - MAR 10, 2006
Had a sample at Strong beer festival, Mesa, Az. Emailed Oggi’s for a description and alcohol % and even called resturant but in January the bartender in Scottsdale had no idea what I was talking about.

Aroma of apples and pears. Cloudy yellow body with white head. Had a sour pear juice flavor with alcohol added. This was harder on palate than other that day as it sat in the stomach like a rock.
Brewed & sampled on tap at Oggi’s Scottsdale, AZ
This beer is a hazy, light gold color that is topped by a wispy large bubbled head that is a pale off-white color. There is a spicy aroma here with clove contributions up front. There is a bit of a yeasty note here, some grass-like character and a bit of a green apple aroma. The clove makes it have a sweetness in the aroma, but it does not have enough of a spiciness (like a good Triple would) to balance it out.
This beer has a fullish mouth feel, which is accentuated by a sweet malt character up front. There is some spicy, drying astringency in the finish which helps to balance out the up front sweetness. There is a hint of bubble gum in the finish as well. There is a grassy herbal note here as well, but I can’t help wishing for more as it would really help to balance this beer out. This would probably be much better if it were bottle conditioned & highly carbonated; as it is (like many draught versions of Belgian beers), it just falls a bit flat.
