Clear blond beer, creamy white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: some banana, grains, bit sweet, yeasty. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: sweet start, bit malty, lots of banana. Aftertaste: banana, sweets, malty grains, more banana, yeast, little sourish.

banana, butterscotch, golden, clear, light sweetness, medium body, creamy, soft carbonation. RIch banana everywhere; nose, tongue, mouthfeel. Refreshing but a tad on the artificially sweet side.

Can version. Green banana, bit of clove and bubblegum, mild cake, lemon zest, earthy finish. Not bad, a bit light maybe but a refreshing weizen.

Can from tanakaya. Drank straight from the can. Big aromas of bubblegum, banana and clove. Tastes like banana cream pie. Creamy and full bodied in the mouth. Surprisingly good but a little too sweet for me.

Tap at Ant ’n Bee, Roppongi. Murky yellow color, good creamy white head. Aroma has fruity banana and citrus. Medium-bodied. Flavor has banana, tartish salt water notes. Fizzy. Should this be like this?

Can from Shinshu Sake Mura. Not many notes again. Aroma fruity, lemon herbs. Taste creamy grainy Belgium/German Weizen/Wit mix. Lemon, banana, slight bitterness.

2009 Version. Draught at Cafe Barley in Nishinomiya. Clear, golden, pils-like appearance with a rather thin head. Rich estery aroma with banana, clove; malty and grainy. Sweet, grainy, fruity flavor. Creamy bananas and other fruits, not at all sour. Almost no bitterness either. Cloying but grainy and chewy. Overall, tasty, with interesting malt and ester characters but too sweet and cloying.

thanks TimE! / stamped 07.08.26 / hazy and golden, cloudy body with big white head; sweet (bubblegum is a good descriptor, TimE), smooth, tropical fruits--banana and such--and creamy; mmm, not bad!

UPDATED: AUG 10, 2007 Very thick white head. Cloudy golden color, big bananas clovey nose. Smooth mouth with bananas, bubblegum and cloves. Refreshing banana clovey finish. Textbook stuff. Beginning to end this beer is technically correct and executed very well. Will not blow you away, but one damn fine beer.
