SlackerMads (3467) - DENMARK - MAY 26, 2017
Bottle 2010 vintage, thanks to pentaz. Pours flat and hazy chestnut brown with no head. Soft mouthfeel with well concealed alcohol. Caramel, syrup, dark dried fruit, oxidation, brown bread, light tobacco. Kind of a full bodied sipper thing that drinks way too easy. BeardedAvenger (1027) - Addlestone, Surrey, ENGLAND - DEC 6, 2016
Cask at The Rake. Sweet port and stewed fruits aroma. Dark Amber. The off-white head is pretty much just a memory. Sweet but surprisingly restrained for the ABV. Stewed fruit (again), raisins, a hint of spice. Thick bodied. Vaguely chalky, especially in the finish. Enjoyable. A sipping beer. Koelschtrinker (21171) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - OCT 25, 2016
Süßer, mild alkoholischer Antrunk. Weich, süffig, angenehm würzig. Frisch, erstaunlich spritzig. Zunehmend malzig, geringe Karbonisierung. Erdige Noten zum Ende. Gut. 8/11/11/11/9/11 Niller (1706) - Hammel, DENMARK - APR 29, 2016
Bottle from Toft Vin, Copenhagen. (2010). Pours dark brown with an off white head. Aroma and taste is roasted malts, caramel, brown sugar, dark dried fruit, caramel notes. Smooth mouthfeel. Flat carbonation. Very warming. Desverger (12538) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 21, 2016
Bottle (2010) shared with Niller, sourced from Toft Vin, Copenhagen - dark brown pour with off white head. Sweet malty aroma and taste, caramel, treacle, some burnt brown sugar, dark dried fruit, carbonation is virtually flat which is strange, very warming boozy, interesting brew, nice but thinking would of been better a little younger.

250ml bottle at home in Richmond as ’O’Hanlon’s Brewers Special Reserve’, 12.9%, 2010 vintage. Very dark red - almost black, small foamy off-white head. Aroma is strong and pungent, oxidised, sherry, strawberry, pork. Body is medium, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is raisin, dates, tangy dried fruits, a bit of twig, spicy alcohol tang. It’s actually held up pretty well. It tastes very similar to more highly rated barley wines. This just isn’t my style though. Ktwse (5307) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 9, 2016
Keg @ Rake. Pours clear mahogany with flat head. Aroma of toffee, butterscotch, nuts, burnt notes, raisins. Taste is rich toffee sweet and very boozy, complex with raisins, nuts, muscovado but then a very boozy finish that takes over. Body is rich and smooth with soft carbonation. 19.11.2015. 0,25l Bottle at Henrik øl og vin, Bergen. Deep dark browncolour. No head. Almost no carbonation. Vinous. Very strong with sharp alcohol flavours. Very rich with lots of malty flavours. Its very malty. Its not too sweet. Fruity with plum and marzipan. Very nice. Mr_Pink_152 (5400) - Lincoln, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - NOV 15, 2015
Bottle from Metro Wines, Leicester. 2010 Vintage. Deep Ruby brown colour with no head. Sweet spicy cake aroma and a slightly sweet taste. Body has warming alcohol. But not suprusing with the high alcohol content. Martinus (4692) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - SEP 16, 2015
Clear red brown colour, dissipating white head. Malty aroma, madeira, raisins. Quite alcoholic flavour, sweet malts, raisins. Finish raisins and sweet sherry. Feels indeed old, but held up quite nicely.
