Cask at the Monkís Retreat (JDW), Reading. Amber with a medium off-white head and a prickly fizz. Rather slimy caramel with some dead leaves, a little apricot and a hint of spice. Another crap Christmas beer with little Christmassy about it, although I canít fault Wetherspoons for the conditioning which was once again excellent.
