This higher alcohol stout is my current favorite when I am not drinking IPA’s.
The longer it sits in the glass, the better it tastes.

Sample at the brewpub. The beer is dark brown, almost black with a medium thin light tan head that dissipates to an outer ring quickly. Stringy lacing. Roasted coffee and malt in the nose. Medium, dry body with roasted malt, coffee and semi-sweet chocolate flavors. The finish is roasted coffee with a mildly bitter aftertaste. Decent overall. Draft at the brewery. This was the best one of the night. Poured black with a decent tan head. Malt and oat on the nose. Flavors were roasted malt, semi-sweet chocolate, and a hint of coffee. Mouth was slightly chalky. Decent stout!
