Sample at the brewpub. The beer is dark brown, almost black with a medium thin light tan head that dissipates to an outer ring quickly. Stringy lacing. Roasted coffee and malt in the nose. Medium, dry body with roasted malt, coffee and semi-sweet chocolate flavors. The finish is roasted coffee with a mildly bitter aftertaste. Decent overall. shrubber85 (11618) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - AUG 11, 2016
