jjsint (3607) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 20, 2018
Bottle from Blue Glass, Bedford. Dark brown, hints of indigo. Opaque with a decent-sized tight khaki head. Big chocolate fudge aroma with lighter coffee and ash notes. Sweet, smooth and chocolately in the mouth, but earthy hops bring it back and keep it from getting too sickly. Touches of molasses in the aftertaste along with more chocolate fudge. Slight body but not too noticeable. Medium carbonation. No surprises here. It's a very basic porter done extremely well.

DruncanVeasey (8456) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 15, 2018
Bottle from Jumbo Faro drank in Vilamoura, October 2016. Tarry liquorice with a receding tan head. Nose of good things; soapy hop, rust and carob; Neopolitan ice cream and coal smoke. Soapy, burnt, deep and rich with espresso and dark berry tones; blueberry and liquorice. Well done, in both senses. More quality Portuguese craft.

Deep brown pour. Thin brown head. The aroma is slightly tart with a bit of fruit and some toasted malt. Has a little bit of light tartness and a bit of cocoa. There's a touch of fruit and some white pepper. Has a touch of grass. Decent dryish Porter.

bartholos (268) - GERMANY - AUG 22, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 22, 2017 Tap at Lisbeer, Lisbon. Full dark brown color with a red hue and medium creamy tan head. Roasted notes are at forefront in the notes, coffee, hints of dark chocolate however there are also some caramel and fruity notes with Sherry and dark berries along with a hint of licorice. Taste starts of off light sweet turning medium bitter and dry soon. Medium thick body having a light oily texture already, with soft carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. Harmonic but complex flavor profile with both roasted, coffee, and fruit, sherry, dark fruits, hints of plum, notes. Has a slight peppery finish leading into a bitter dry aftertaste that stays quite a bit.
