Slight hints of chocolate and malt that peak in the aftertaste. Moderately carbonated. Tastes exactly what it says it tastes like in the description, a little bit more flavour would make it appeal to me a bit more.

341ml bottle from mixed pack. Pours a small frothy beige head and has a dark brown with amber highlights. Lacing is ok. Aromas of roasted malts, hints of chocolate. Flavours are also roasted malts with some notes of spices, coffee and hints of chocolate. Lively carbonation. Drying mouthfeel. Not bad. Metalchopz (3364) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 7, 2017
Pours a dark copper-brown colour with full ruby highlights. The head is frothy, bubbly, decent lasting with some nice creamy lace. Aromas of roasted malts and molasses. Hints of rustiness eventually come out. Roasted malt taste with some nice nuttiness. Smooth, almost creamy mouthfeel. Nothing too special, but an easy-drinking Schwarzbier. jb (3218) - Rochester, New York, USA - MAY 1, 2016
On tap at Yanks. A bit thin. Nice and dark and malty but not much going on. Was hoping for a swarzbier and this is not that. Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 26, 2016
Bottle. Medium brown. No head. Aroma is toasty, a bit nutty. Light body, and a bit toasty. Too light, though I will say there are supermarket schwarzbiers in Germany like this.. Ferris (15013) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - FEB 22, 2016
Bottle - Toast and smoky notes. Deep brown with a beige head. Very light and thin caramel flavours. Taste is very boring considering the nose.

Decent head and jet black body.soft barley aroma. Roasted barley flavour with coffee hints. Weaker on the mouth. Adequate but not exciting. JanosX (54) - - JUL 12, 2015
Dark cola colouring. Thin head. Crisp flavour balanced with molasses. Heavily carbonated, but thin and lacks texture. RichardW (1813) - Carlisle, Cumbria, ENGLAND - AUG 8, 2014
On tap. Light roast and faint caramel aroma. Cereal and hay flavours, faint mixed fruit finish. Not great but better than the pale ale. maley1 (1235) - Calgary, CANADA - JUN 15, 2014
Dark brown, almost black pour with large beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, slight chocolate and coffee, and faints hops. Taste of burnt malts, slight chocolate, faint coffee, a hint of caramel and very faint hops. Medium bodied and nice carbonation. exeter (531) - calgary, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 22, 2014
Poured black with slightly off colour head. Sweet tasting with chocolate and a little coffee. Very enjoyable
