Crit (4116) - Surrey, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 29, 2008
Drink it quickly, it loses its carbonation fast.
Actually quite flavorful before it warms and loses it’s fizz.
Nice brown sugar nose and palate, slightly grainy EXOSB (2) - vernon, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 1, 2008 does not count
Just a mix of OSB Porter (perhaps their single best beer) cut with 1516 or, god forbid, one of the high volume yankee beers they make under liscense in an attempt to bring the alcohol content down. It’s okay but not outstanding. and the new label is incredibly annoying. I don’t need a color guide or temperature thermometer on my label. God, did that idiot Andy Tobler design this? lumikuuro (26) - British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 1, 2008
This new offering from Okanagan Spring pours a dark brown rather than a black or ruby black. The initial flavour is that of a good porter - bitter coffee and dark chocolate - which then dramatically changes mid-palate to an extremely crisp finish. This is like drinking two different beers at once. They boast about the crisp finish, and they are not wrong; only it finishes so crisp it is almost unnatural, and hints at the mineral water like finish of a Molson or Sleeman beer.
