Cask conditioned @ Humble Plumb, Soton. Fruity and zesty nose with a little straw - nice fresh rounded hoppy aromas. Gentle malt sweetness combines well with the full mouthfeel and relaxed bitterness. Very drinkable and improves with quantity consumed.
Bottle. Yes, Bottle. Pale Straw Yellow in colour. Hoppy (intense grassy hops). Fruity (bitter lemon-citrus). Malty (biscuity and buttery caramel). Bitter dry citrus hoppy throughout. Rather a brackish bitter taste. Didn’t like it. (2008)

Clear golden beer with a thick white head. Light lemony aroma. Taste is more bitter and acidic. Could do with a bit more punch but it’s pleasant enough and hit the spot sitting in the sun as I was. Travlr (25185) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - OCT 4, 2015

Cask pint: hand-pulled in The Castle Arms, Castletown Isle of Man on 10th April 2015. Sat in the sun drinking this overlooking the small harbour and quayside: hard not to enjoy a beer when the view is so interesting. Anyway, it came a pale amber/golden colour with a full white crown on top. Mild maltiness in the nose, tempered by a slight citrus whiff. Tasted lightly malted with again a citrus hint within its make-up. Not a huge fan of golden beers with a citrus feel, but this didn’t upset me like some do. Location and occasion helped it’s cause.

Tasted this in the Last Post, Paisley (JDW) on 6th November 2014. Cask, handpump dispense. Clear pale amber in colour with a thin creamy white head. Hint of yeasty warm dough in the short malty aroma. Thin resiny mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale malt gives a chewy digestive biscuit base with tart citrus fruit notes of gooseberry and lime. Aftertaste imparts a dry citrus flavour from the fruity hop resins. Finish is slightly bitter with dry citrus peel present in the mouth. Not astringent as expected and a decent session Golden Ale. mr_h (5626) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - NOV 22, 2014

Cask @ Manchester & County, Manchester. Blond with a bubbly head. Has a dryish pale ale texture and taste mainly hops involved but there’s some malt here too. niquillis (2752) - Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 29, 2014
On cask at penny black, northwich. Pours golden with floaty white head. Moderate skunk aroma. Decent light golden ale with citrus balance Mr_Pink_152 (5092) - Lincoln, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - OCT 28, 2014
Tried at the Royal Hop Pole JDW Tewkesbury. Pale golden colour with a slight haze. Thin but creamy white head. Aroma has a touch of citrus hop, taste has too. Nice beer not really and IPA, and not a traditional bitter.
