Creedence (323) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 13, 2018
UPDATED: MAR 13, 2018 330ml bottle enjoyed in Lamba, Faroe Islands. Pours a lightly hazy amber with a nice one finger wire head that holds well. Biscuit, caramel and acetone nose. Light sweetness and medium bitter. Quite metallic and grassy. Thin prickly mouthfeel with a metallic finish. Fairly mediocre.

Bottle. 5.8%. Best before 02.11.19. 10 cl. sample. Pours a clear golden/amber, with an off-white head. Sweetish, malty and fruity aroma. Light dusty and cardboard notes. Hint of molasses as it warms. Flavour is fruity, malty and slightly dusty. Bitter finish, dry-ish. Fruit note bordering grainy. Light alcohol. Lingering grassy note. 13.01.18.

Copenhagen 7/9 2017. 33 cl bottle from Den Gamle Købmand. Very stony label to illustrate that this ale is using lavastone from the Faroe Island for caramelization. Pours hazy amber with yellowish head. Settles as thin layer of patchy foam. Lacing on the side of the glass. Aroma is sweet caramel, brown sugar and a light whiff of butter. Light carbonation and slightly thick palate. Flavor is strongly sweet followed by medium sourish bitterness. A bit too sweet for my taste buds - but solid Amber Ale.

Sweet smelling and amber brown. Quite fizzy with a balanced if not massively strong taste, although malt comes first followed by something hoppy/vegetably.

martin00sr (4646) - Haderslev, DENMARK - FEB 24, 2017
Clear, brownish amber. Thick offwhite froth. Malty, slightly caramely aroma. Caramely flavour with fruity, bitter hops. Finishes harsh and metallic.

Let humlet, lidt mild, og lidt tør i det. En fin nydeøl til en sommeraften.

Manslow (2055) - Warsaw, POLAND - AUG 29, 2016
Ciemno bursztynowe, piana średnia, karmel trochę alkoholu wyczułem, słód polony, lekka wędzonka. Do wypicia ale żadna rewelka. Pite na Wyspach Owczych.

Beautiful foamy beer with good aroma of malt, caramel, fresh grains and a little hay. Lovely malty flavor with caramel notes and semi-dry end with good hops. It is a beer that I really like. It bears the stamp of quality and good craft.
