Copenhagen 7/9 2017. 33 cl bottle from Den Gamle Købmand. Very stony label to illustrate that this ale is using lavastone from the Faroe Island for caramelization. Pours hazy amber with yellowish head. Settles as thin layer of patchy foam. Lacing on the side of the glass. Aroma is sweet caramel, brown sugar and a light whiff of butter. Light carbonation and slightly thick palate. Flavor is strongly sweet followed by medium sourish bitterness. A bit too sweet for my taste buds - but solid Amber Ale.

Sweet smelling and amber brown. Quite fizzy with a balanced if not massively strong taste, although malt comes first followed by something hoppy/vegetably.

Clear, brownish amber. Thick offwhite froth. Malty, slightly caramely aroma. Caramely flavour with fruity, bitter hops. Finishes harsh and metallic.

Bottle at Hotel Færoyar, Thorshavn. Pours clear red/amber with a big creamy white head. Dark malty aroma. Taste is fresh, some caramel with a long bitter grassy/herbal finish.

TorbenJensen (1539) - Valby, DENMARK - SEP 20, 2015
Beautiful foamy beer with good aroma of malt, caramel, fresh grains and a little hay. Lovely malty flavor with caramel notes and semi-dry end with good hops. It is a beer that I really like. It bears the stamp of quality and good craft.

Copper pour with thin beige head. Smells like sweet caramel goodness. Unfortunately tastes like watery caramel goodness with a bit of wet cardboard.

3.3
Gylo (310) - Lublin, POLAND - MAR 21, 2015
Aromat karmelowy, barwa bursztynowa. Dosy? intensywna goryczka na pocz?tek a nast?pnie smak karmelowego s?odu.
