COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Another, after Okocim Wheat, koneserski variant in the family Okocim, which promises exceptional taste and aesthetic experiences. By combining several types of malt, including Munich, caramel and roasted, and two month aging period okocimski Porter reached a unique dark color and a deep, noble taste, seasoned with hints of cedar.

Dark reddish brown with a light brown head that left lace along the sides of the glass. Dense malt aroma, the smell of toasted base malt is intense, giving the porter a scent reminiscent of barley wine. There is an underlying blanket of roasted malt there too, like mild coffee and dark chocolate. The flavor is sweet malt and roasted malt with balance coming from the black malt bitterness. This beer doesnt give any hint of 8%. The sweetness in the flavor gives plenty of body, but the density of the flavor goes beyond that with a nice lingering roasted chocolate flavor. This is my first true Baltic Porter, but it will bring me back for more that is sure. An excellent beer.

[backlog from webtrunki.pl] Aroma of roasted malts, some coffee and chocolate. Deep brown in the glass with minimal tan head. Taste of malt coffee, dark chocolate with full roasty finish. Nice.

Czarne, nieprzejrzyste z ciemnobrązowymi przebłyskami. Piękna kremowa drobno i średniopęcherzykowa piana, bardzo powoli opadająca. W aromacie głwnie czekoladowość, ciemne słody, lekka alkoholowość. Po nienajgorszym początku przychodzi pierwszy łyk i - bez szału. Słodko, momentami aż za słodko. Słodowo. Czuć alkohol, a końcwka jest bardzo nieprzyjemna. Z każdym kolejnym łykiem odechciewa się pić dalej. Wysycenie niskie, piwo dosyć gładkie. Nic więcej się w nim nie dzieje.

Bottle at some random touristy restaurant in Gdansk. Pours black with mahogany hue, thick tan head. Retention good, lace alright. The nose is somewhat messy, earthy and chocolaty, yeasty, cranberry, kinda spicy (cinnamon?). Tastes sweet of chocolate most of all, continuing earthy herbal bitter with roasty dryness. Crisp yet mellow thin carbonation. Overall a very macro impression (had no idea it was a Carlsberg when I was drinking it), overly sweet and not exactly crafted, in fact quite robust, and the mild dirty notes are distracting but all in all its not too bad. Still, overrated.

Decent Baltic Porter, among other Polish Porters one of the best, worth trying again.

Didnt have time to go to store and buy some craft so I ended up getting that. Very nice porter. Chocolate and some cherries. Very creamy and smooth. A little bit of alcohol.
