3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours copper. Good malty flavor, not too powerful though. Refreshing. Would have again
From a counter-pressure fresh growler filled at the brewery 7 days ago: The aroma on this has plenty of nice melanoidin malt aroma with toffee and light burnt caramel. Really nice aroma. Transparent glistening amber-colored body present with a medium, fairly strong light tan head present. Starts with plenty of toasted malts, followed by a touch of caramel sweetness, and a little toffee. Some metallic bitter hop flavors come through in the middle, and last through the finish. A little dry towards the end. If I close my eyes, I can almost imagine drinking this on the other side of the pond. Really flavorful and inspired. Sigmund (7471) - Tau, NORWAY - NOV 7, 2015
Shared 650 ml bottle, as Ol’ Republic Pub Ale (English-style Ale), in Nevada City. Drank it too cold from a frosted glass. Copper colour, large off-white head. Aroma and flavour of a typical English bitter with toffee notes, just with some more alcohol. Fuller’s ESB is probably what they try to emulate here - this one is not quite as good as Fuller’s, but a nice try. marcus (10222) - Sacramento, California, USA - JUN 11, 2015
Bomber from Whole Foods, Sacramento Pub Ale. Pours brownish copper with a nice beige head and a toffee aroma. There is a sweet caramel malt flavor with a dry slightly bitter finish. bhensonb (15191) - Woodland, California, USA - NOV 5, 2014
Bomber as "Pub Ale" from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Words on bottle pretty well match words in the above description. ABV matches. Pours dark copper with a creamy beige head. Light floral and roast malt aromas. Med body. Flavor seems to have a touch of chocolate, but also mild roast malt and some floral. Decent drink. slowrunner77 (12043) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 23, 2014
"An ok bitter. Nice session brew, nothing less, nothing more. The type of low key balanced brew that is nice on a beer engine, but doesn’t quite stand up to the bigger styles, especially when doing a flight :) pleasant, though, and fairly true to style."

Copper colored, small head, mild aroma. Fairly sweet with a dry finish. Not as good as other ESBs. skoisirius (1909) - Earth, Washington, USA - JUL 1, 2013
Draft at the brewery. Very straightforward ESB, little more on the maltier side of things. Bits of biscuits with a light plum. Tiny forest hop finish. Zymurgeist2 (2246) - Redwood City, California, USA - SEP 25, 2012
On draft at the brewhouse in a sampler. Pours a clear copper color with an off-white head. Not much aroma here - some slight malt peeking through. Flavor is rich biscuity with a nice, slight earthy hop finish.
