On tap in the brewhouse, Republic’s version of the Pale Ale is consistent with the Brewery’s focus to create British-style ales rather than West Coast styles. This golden-colored beer has a hop profile that exhibits a suble and refined aroma, leading to a perfect balance of hop flavor and medium-bodied malt. This style is not for California hop heads!
Floral earthy and lightly herbal aroma with a noticeable but light bready cracker malt backbone. Refined? Yes. Not terribly exciting, but well put together. marcus (10227) - Sacramento, California, USA - SEP 13, 2014
On tap at Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours light golden with a thick off-white head and a floral aroma. There is a very bitter pale malt flavor with a dry finish. savnac (2391) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - OCT 12, 2013
Draft @ Ol Republic. Clear golden amber with a small head. Aroma British malt, herbal tea and light citrus. Flavor is toasty malt with a medium hop bitterness. Medium to light body with average carbonation. Pretty good session beer, although it’s interesting that their Pale has a higher ABV and more IBU’s than their IPA. bhensonb (15208) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 21, 2013
Tap at California Brew fest. Pours light amber. Light citrus aroma. Med body. Flavor of light roast malt, fruit, and maybe citrus. Tasty.
