On tap in the brewhouse, Republic’s version of the Pale Ale is consistent with the Brewery’s focus to create British-style ales rather than West Coast styles. This golden-colored beer has a hop profile that exhibits a suble and refined aroma, leading to a perfect balance of hop flavor and medium-bodied malt. This style is not for California hop heads!
Tap. Pours clear pale golden, small wow head, good lacing. Aroma is melons, grapefruit, hint of soap. Flavors is light plus sweet, light bitter. Light body. Not bad. slowrunner77 (13206) - Reno, Nevada, USA - FEB 2, 2016
Floral earthy and lightly herbal aroma with a noticeable but light bready cracker malt backbone. Refined? Yes. Not terribly exciting, but well put together. marcus (10878) - Sacramento, California, USA - SEP 13, 2014
On tap at Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours light golden with a thick off-white head and a floral aroma. There is a very bitter pale malt flavor with a dry finish. savnac (2656) - Anchorage, Alaska, USA - OCT 12, 2013
Draft @ Ol Republic. Clear golden amber with a small head. Aroma British malt, herbal tea and light citrus. Flavor is toasty malt with a medium hop bitterness. Medium to light body with average carbonation. Pretty good session beer, although it’s interesting that their Pale has a higher ABV and more IBU’s than their IPA. bhensonb (15976) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 21, 2013
Tap at California Brew fest. Pours light amber. Light citrus aroma. Med body. Flavor of light roast malt, fruit, and maybe citrus. Tasty.
