The best of the five samples that I tried at the brewery, but not outstanding. Sweet, some hops, but fairly mild overall.
Called a golden ale (though classed as an ipa) it looks far too light for an ipa, and while adequately hopped at 69 ibus to be one, it really doesnít have the flavor of an ipa either. Hoppy golden works for me. Nice balance between a bright and vibrant hop bite, and crisp, clean malts. Unique and pretty nice. oRos (1675) - sacramento, California, USA - MAR 16, 2014
On tap at capitol beer and taproom. Pours copper with white head. Light malt with a big hop bitterness. Citrus, and pine marcus (10137) - Sacramento, California, USA - MAR 12, 2014
On tap at Capitol Beer & TapRoom. Pours clear golden with a rich beige head and a floral aroma. There is a hearty pale malt flavor with a littlebite of bitter. Very drinkable. bhensonb (15077) - Woodland, California, USA - MAR 11, 2014
Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours gold with a white head. Light aroma of fruit and caramel. Med minus body. Flavor is a bit bready with something suggesting hemp and a little stone fruit. Sounds strange, but it is really very nice. baraciisch (3160) - California, USA - FEB 28, 2014
Had at Sac Brewers Showcase for start of beer week... Orange color, flavor was sweet malt, citrus hops... Nothing noteworthy

Pours golden, with a small white head. A very subtle aroma, mainly pine/earth-y notes. Flavor is powered by similar notes, with hops and citrus as well. This beer is on the lighter side of the I.P.A realm. Refreshing. Zymurgeist2 (2179) - Redwood City, California, USA - SEP 25, 2012
On draft at the brewhouse. Wow!!! This beer almost defies description. Pours a light gold with a full white head. Slightly hazy. Great floral and earth aromas -- much like a fresh cut meadow. Lots of orange and citrus with a balanced wheat and bread malt. Bitterness works perfectly on this beer. This is not really an IPA - it really is a summer refreshing that is light, but has hops massively packed and exploding in this beer. That said, itís ability to make it taste delicate and not hop centric makes it an amazing, nuanced beer. Very unique, and worth trying. skoisirius (1909) - Earth, Washington, USA - JUL 30, 2012
Picked up a growler at the brewery today. Pours a clear golden color. Nose is of sour mash malts and bits of grapefruit and citrus. Flavors bring out your everyday manís pale to IPA realm. Bits of straw, hints of grass, and a lighter citrus bite at the end. Good session brew in the heat of Nevada City during the summer!
