TheJestersBeer (2431) - SWEDEN - DEC 29, 2012
Medium in body and bitterness, balanced CO2.
Spicy, smoky taste, sort of fruity, I’m picking up a bunch of dirty off flavours - faeces, barnyard, earth, manure. Feels a bit one-dimensional for a 12%ABV beer. (2009-03-06)

Bottle @ Man in the Moon. Brown colour with a small quickly vanishing off-white head. Smokey wood aroma. Flavour is smokey, wood, alcohol. mansquito (7127) - Nueva York, New York, USA - AUG 13, 2012
Man in the Moon, Stockholm 2008 bottle: Poured brown with a massive head. Aroma is smoke, aged, dried fruits, candy. Aroma was quite excellent. I could sit around and sniff this all day. Taste is slightly sweet, really fruity, and really heavy on the malt. There is a smoky lingering aftertaste in this. It tastes kind of like a smoked barley wine, but is still very different from anything I ever had. SaintMatty (7603) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - FEB 18, 2011
330ml Bottle (Bishops Arms, Vasagatan, Stockholm) - Dark brown with red tinges. Smoky and fruity aroma with notes of ham and raisins. Malty, roasted and slightly sweet taste with notes of smoked ham, caramel and raisins. It’s drinkability belies its strength gyllenbock (10025) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - FEB 6, 2011
Bottle at Man in the Moon, February 2011.
Dark brown with a medium, tan head. Nice aroma and taste of smoke, caramel, leather and malt. Also some notes of ham and licorice. Very, very drinkable despite 12%. Probably the last time I drank a beer from Ölands Gårdsbryggeri a nice one, it was.

Murky brown. No head.
Vinous, smoke and tar. Neeskens (328) - SWEDEN - DEC 13, 2010
UPDATED: DEC 28, 2010 Courtesey of rlgk. Pours dirty dark brown. A lot of smoke/peat in the aroma along side a malty sweet body. The mouth is actually less peaty than expected from the aroma, but still the smoked and peaty side is dominating. Sweet malty but a little thin in mouthfeel. rlgk (18843) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 3, 2010
Bottle at BA Vasagatan, Stockholm. Sweet smoky aroma. Ratjer smoky flavor, malty, ash and tar, smoked fish. Smoky sweet finish. sebletitje (10477) - Enghien, BELGIUM - JUL 17, 2010
Cheers to tpd975 for sharing this one. Epic tasting we had.
pours dark brown, off-white.
aroma, malty with lots of nice smoke aroma, dark fruits.
flavors, 12% wow this beer is so drinkable the smoke on this one is fantastic.
It drinks a little on the medicinal side with lingering herbal palate while the finish keeps a more dark fruits (date) approach along with malts.
This beers rocks. MeadMe (1694) - Fishhawk, Florida, USA - JUL 8, 2010
