Svesse (8962) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JAN 19, 2007
(Bottle, Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 17 Jan) Amber colour with ruby notes, short off-white head. Fruity nose with notes of apricots, black-currant, blueberries and dusty hops. Fruity taste with notes of orange, apricots, grapefruit and fresh hops in the finish. Slightly roasted. Nice and tasty bitter, more fresh hops but slightly thinner than the ordinary English best bitter.

UPDATED: FEB 5, 2007 (Bottle) Pours redish brown. Light roasted malt aroma with a mix of flowers and fruits. Undertones of some citrus, grass, chocolate and maybe toffee. Light roasted flavour with some chocolate/cocoa blended with some medium bitter hops. Grapefruity finish that lingers. A bit watery, medium body.

ante (3373) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JAN 13, 2007
Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Hazy reddish amber appearance. Rich, long-lasting off-white head. Sourish oranges, soil and flowery hops in the aroma with sweet undertones of roasted malts, milky chocolate, whipped cream and almonds. Compact and somewhat one-dimensional bitter flavour of grassy hops with tiny hints of fudge and nuts. Unbalanced aftertaste bitter grassy hops. Once again from Ölands Gårdsbryggeri, promising aroma but too unfocused bitter hopping in the flavour. Still, sthis is the best offering from them so far.

omhper (25955) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - DEC 30, 2006
UPDATED: FEB 1, 2007 Bottled at Tegnérs Gömställe, Stockholm. Clear dark amber, rich firm head. Rich flowery hop aroma. Sweet and generously malty. Very hoppy and very flowery, somewhat yeasty. There is some biscuity malt underneath the immense amounts of flowery hops. Lingering very bitter finish. Perhaps not balanced, but good anyway.

larsniclas (7297) - Billdal, SWEDEN - DEC 27, 2006
Bottled Hazy golden. Sourish and grassy aroma. Extremely bitter and dry; too bitter.

rlgk (18843) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 11, 2006
(Bottle at the Rover, Gothenburg) Hazy amber, offwhite head. Hoppy, grassy aroma, hoppy dry flavor. Onedimensional, Im missing something here...

gnoff (11145) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - DEC 6, 2006
(50 cl bottle at The Rover, Göteborg) Sweet and hoppy scent, some metal and green apples. Clear brown color, lasting creamy tan head. Dominant sharp bitter taste. Starts off with some smoke before it turns to the bitter side. The bitterness is too hard and sharp for me, not well balanced.
