Bottle at chris o’s teabag for 2009 tasting. Alround rating: Roasty, wet dog, green hop. Then my pen seems to run out. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 19, 2009
A Mes rate. Bottle at Chris O’s pre NYE tasting. Very dark, almost black with a thin tan head. Fruity, smoky and very wooden. Faint hints of bitterness, pleanty of spice as expected. Quite sweet. Straight forward but ok. Defreni (3326) - Husum, DENMARK - JAN 11, 2009
Flaske: Mere stout end porter.
Poured from 50 cl bottle in duvel glass.. nice thick and creamy head. Roasted malt, bread, sourdough, butterscotch, caramel in the nose. Hoppy taste and there are nice tones of chocolate and coffee. A bit watery taste, a roasted and burnt feel to it, long finish. It is ok, but why take this when you have so many other better ones. Cheers. harrisoni (19709) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JAN 11, 2009
Bottle at Chris o New Year tasting 08/09. Oily intense choc/coffee, bit of spicy flavour there. Quite thick. Nice. It’s a little stale though??
