3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured from 50 cl bottle in duvel glass.. nice thick and creamy head. Roasted malt, bread, sourdough, butterscotch, caramel in the nose. Hoppy taste and there are nice tones of chocolate and coffee. A bit watery taste, a roasted and burnt feel to it, long finish. It is ok, but why take this when you have so many other better ones. Cheers.
Aroma of roasted malt and hops. Light hop aromatic flavor of roasted malt with a slightly unpleasant burnt and smoky tone. Bitter aftertaste. Well, this was not so good, rather, real bad! rlgk (18843) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - JUN 12, 2011

Bottle from 2008.
Black with a large beige head. The beer tasted just burned and weird, do not really know what was wrong. Probably the beer was infected, could not finish it. Nisse666 (8153) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 24, 2009

Bottled (BB 09/2009, Vasa session).
Dark ruby brown color, good creamy tan head, lace. Aroma has dark malts, cold coffee, some hops. Light bodied. Lots of ash, dark malts in the flavor. Some hops under the maltyness. Long roasted aftertaste. Same than in the many Ölands beers: body could be maltier. oh6gdx (26485) - Vasa, FINLAND - APR 24, 2009
Bottled (thanks omhper!). Very deep rubyish red colour, close to black, brown mediumsized head. Nice lace. Aroma sourish dark coffee, ashes, sour fruits and some hoppyness kicking in. Flavour is coffee, ashes and some flowery hoppyness. Big ashy notes. Bov (13354) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - APR 22, 2009
courtesy of Per - pours a very dark brown colour under a persistent and solid beige foam; fairly roasty with notes of coffee beans and licorice, the whole thing packed with a solid hoppiness; fizzy palate, medium-bodied and with a robust bitterness, earthy coffeish finish - deeply satisfying fonefan (52351) - VestJylland, DENMARK - MAR 20, 2009
