A German Dunkel inspired American Amber Lager with a signature hop aroma. This lager boasts a bit more malt backbone and overall character than most Amber Lagers out there today. It has an elegant copper color formed by mostly Munich malt, with the addition of gently balanced caramelized malts. When you add in a complex combination of noble hops, it enables our lager to be paired with a wide variety of food items and will really hit the spot on those Hot summer afternoons.

Bottle. Pours dark, copper brown with a faint head. Faint roasted malt aroma. Taste has some hops, but more roasted malt with a hint of sweet and a slight bitter aftertaste. Slightly effervescent with a bit more body than a typical lager. This is more what I expect of an Amber than a lot of the beers labeled that way.

UPDATED: JUL 29, 2016 Draft at the taproom. Brown in color with a beige head and minimal lacing. Notes of coffee, caramel, some dark fruits and burnt toast. It is slightly sweet upfront before a metalic aftertaste takes over.

3fourths (9299) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - APR 27, 2016
UPDATED: APR 29, 2016 Clear chestnut brown with a tan-colored head of some retention. Malt and yeast-driven aroma is burnt caramel syrup, over-caramelized (scorched) barley, burnt popcorn, cookie batter, and faint soil / manure notes. Medium-light body, sweet with low bitterness, plump carbonation, syrupy finish with mild pepper and green leaf hoppiness. Terribly crude beer, it smells and tastes like raw barley and sawdust, what the hell, man?

Poured from the tap into a pint glass. The appearance is a dark ruby black color with a small tan head. The aroma is roasted malt and nuts. The taste is very similar to a nut brown ale.

Not as crisp as I'd want in a lager, but interesting none the less. Appearance is crystal clear Amber brown. Nice flavor and very smooth. An all day drinker for sure. Alabama is making some solid stuff.

Great smooth flavor. There seems to be a small hint of sweetness that I think is honey. Like the label of a black bear with a fish in its mouth, awesome beer! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
