Draft at MBGSF from notes. Pours a clear copper color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor had pale malts, sweet malts, caramel, big grapefruit citrus, resiny and earthy hops, moderate bitterness to balance the sweetness, pretty good under the radar beer.

Thick head and strong lacing. Toffee appearance. Hoppy citrus aroma. Light carbonation on the tongue. Piney flavor with light aftertaste. Very good double IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Amber color with nice balance of hops and malt. High alcohol did’t show. More typical than most of their brews.

22 ounce bottle poured a nice amber orange color with aromas of grapefruit, caramel and resin. Flavors follow suit a nice blend of the aromas real drinkavle and refeeshing, a slid DIPA.

Had this at their tap room in grand haven with Cathy and Randy. Very nice beer. Big and bold. Lots of citrus.

Poured a hazy orange amber with a lasting amber head. Aroma of carmel, orange, grapefruit, lemon zest and light earthiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of carmel, grapefruit, orange zest, pine and earthiness with a crisp dry bitter lingering grapefruit finish.

On draft at the brewpub. What a ridiculously cloudy brew. It’s dark orange in color. The aroma is a punch to the nostrils. It’s very, very dank and resinous. Notes of ammonia, spruce, and pot are noticed. The carbonation is on the low side. The flavor is all about the hops. It’s zesty, fresh and dank. Not a very sticky IIPA with some bready flavors from the malts. Herbal stank all up in this mug! Very clean and robust. Fantastic!

On tap at Old Boys Brewhouse. Murky chestnut with a lacy beige head. Aroma is a citrus bon with grapefruit and sweet malt. Taste ends up being nicely balanced with plenty of grapefruit and caramel. Somewhat pithy and not too piney with a touch of alcohol burn. Decent.

Growler… RBSG/MBGSFThis beer rocks!… Beautiful, clear copper ale with a mid-sized, creamy, khaki head. Good retention. The bouquet awards my nose with earthy Simcoe hops, grapefruit and tropical fruit. Full-bodied with a creamy mouthfeel and measured carbonation. Fruity-sweet flavor up front; plenty of fruity, earthy hop bitterness to balance everything out on the back end. Juicy, fruity, moderately bitter finish. A diamond in the rough is discovered. World class!
