tap at old boys. dark amber, clear with minimal head. nice roastiness, nuts, toasted grain..flavor is similar with some toffee as well. well done within the style dm9831 (1512) - Monee, Illinois, USA - SEP 22, 2011
clear gold, no head, lacy tiny bubbles. nose of earthy malt, sweet and airy. flavor is spicy, earthy malt, sweet malt at the end. medium bodied, sweet finish. a decent example of marzen, but typically too sweet for my palate. RAYBOY01 (2011) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 5, 2009
Clear golden pour with moderate white head. Nice caramel/toffe malt nose. The flavor was uncomplicated...caramel and toffee malt sweetness, light hop bit in the background. Decent interpretation of the style. Tmoney99 (14486) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - OCT 8, 2008
Draft at brewpub on 10/02/08. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate aroma of toasted malt. Medium body. Well balanced toasted flavor with a medium sweet finish of short to moderate duration. This is beer met my expectations.
