Leighton (22027) - London, Greater London, - OCT 11, 2012
Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig, 2012, London. Meh, it’s OK. Some booze, caramel, bread. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Not too much to say about this one. Yep, OK.

Davros IX (449) - Hertford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - MAY 3, 2017
2016 catch up - bottle at home - What I would describe as an "showcase" beer; one that is so well made that it is almost perfect. However, for some reason it didn’t really do it for me. There was a lot of malt and the alcohol was very forward, but it resulted in a very good mouthfeel. It was tasty too, with a good bittering of hops that offset a sweetness. Maybe I was just having a bad day.......

Svartvit (917) - NETHERLANDS - FEB 3, 2017
Bottle shared at the first post-Dean THT. Pours a clear golden with a white head. Fruity, caramel, smells a little bit off, malty. Medium sweet, light bitter.

Maakun (6297) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - FEB 3, 2017
Bottle at February THT. Slight hazy darker golden with small off white head. Sweet tropical fruits, good sugary malts, light grain husks, apricot, quite some grass and herbs towards the finish. Medium sweet and bitter. Bit over medium bodied.

sjogro (4648) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - FEB 3, 2017
Sampled from bottle at THT Februari at "De Zuipschuit". Slightly hazy golden with white head. Sweet malts, spices, sugar. Over medium sweet and light bitter. Medium body. Sweet finish.

Theydon_Bois (20452) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - NOV 13, 2016
Bottle at home, 13/11/16. Clear golden with a decent off white head. Nose is sweet malt, toffee, sugar, fruit esters, light plastic notes. Taste comprises caramel, cane sugar, straw, bready notes, vanilla, fruit loaf, grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, sweet licks in a clooe combined with a tickle of alcohol. So so for style, fails to deliver any real depth given the 7% ABV.

Stuu666 (14563) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 24, 2015
Bottle at Craig’s. Pours golden, nose is caramel, yeasty, taste is sweet toffee, caramel.

MrTipple (5956) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 5, 2015
Aroma: intense grain malts, light fruity flavours. Appearance: clear gold, massive, frothy, white head. Taste: light sweet. Palate: nice balance between malty sweets and grassy bitters, at first biscuits, caramel malts dominating, then the bitters take over, lively carbonation. Overall: nice English Strong Ale, nice palate, maybe slightly over carbonated. Bottle from the brewery via Eebria, Diss.

BlackHaddock (7576) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JAN 10, 2015
Bought at the brewery: 330ml bottle conditioned, Lot 774, BBE 04.2016. Poured into a La Chouffe stemmed tulip at home 10th Jan 15 during a ’random beer tasting afternoon’ with myself. Lovely pour, amber and clear, the head a proud billowing soft pillow of white foam. Plenty of carbonation bubble trails rising through the body. Fruity and malty aroma, the taste follows in the same vain. Biscuity maltiness and red fruits vie for pole position in the mouth with a good mini-bite to the flavours. This is a fine, well made beer, the alcohol content does show it’s strenght, but the flavours and body depth carry it well. A delight to drink.

stravale (3088) - Co. Westmeath, IRELAND - DEC 22, 2014
Bottle from Eebria [181214]
Orange amber, soft haze, thin white head
Aroma - soft sweet fruity malts, soft orange, slight floral notes, touch of peach, nice soft fruits
Taste of soft fruity caramel, light toffee, soft fruits, delicate flavours, soft citrus
Palate - soft carb, medium body, fairly oily, quite sweet. Alcohol well hidden. Finish as main flavour, clean.
Overall - Delicate flavours here, quite sweet, nice.

Beersiveknown (5301) - NORTHERN IRELAND - DEC 8, 2014
Bottle from eebria
slightly hazy golden amber with gentle stream of bubbles and thin white lacing. Fruity peardrops, mixed esters, higher alcohols. Full bodied, gentle carbonation, dry, biscuit, sweet, rich, heavy. Not for me.
