AshtonMcCobb (6498) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JAN 9, 2017
Bottle thanks to allmvinyl. Finally, a chance to rate this historic beer. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - intense dark chocolate, nuts, some toffee or burnt sugar, Taste - tonnes of dark chocolate, tangy toffee, some wood but well integrated. Palate - rich and well rounded with a long delicate taper off in the finish. Overall - lovely beer.

Inbreak (5804) - Loddefjord, NORWAY - JAN 8, 2017
08.01.2017, 0,275l bottle (2013 vintage) @ home, courtesy of berntholer:
Nice brown creamy longlasting head. Aroma is rich and roasted, dark malts, whiskey, minerals, oak, leather, dark sugar, licorice, vanilla, grass, hay, dried dark fruits, seaweed, tar. Taste is rich and sour-ish roasted, dark malts, minerals, oak, whiskey, leather, paper, dark sugar, hay, licorice, sour dark fruits, grass, vanilla, tar, caramel, dried dark fruits, seaweed. Medium to longlasting bitterness, slightly concentrated, syrupy and dry mineraly mouthfeel. Very nice and lovely integrated mild whiskey touch. One the other hand, I’d love to have a bourbon edition of this beer...

Korcz (3310) - Warsaw, POLAND - DEC 30, 2016
Duże rozczarowanie. Brak czekolady, wanilii, kawy. Smakuje jak niezły Porter Bałtycki, dominują ciemne owoce. Niestety średnio :(

PotjeBier (3211) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - NOV 12, 2016
Side by side tasting in Beer Temple, 2011 and 2014 bottles, big shoutout to kermis and scotty001. Black color. Beige head (if any). 2014 was quite umami, soy sauce in the nose, whereas the 2011 had sweetness, chocolate, whisky/bourbon, red fruit, wood and only light soy sauce. Retronasal 2014 had wood, soy sauce, roast, sweetness, alcohol, dried/dark fruits. 2011 was much less fruity, but woody, sweet and whisky-ish instead. Flavor of 2014 was sweet, fruity, wood; 2011 was moderate sweet, fruity. Both had rather strong alcohol feel and were medium to full bodied. Velvetty mouthfeel. Finish is woody, light bitter, warming (2014); moderate bitter, wood/tannines (2011). Both were great but I had a slight preference for the 2011 version.
