UPDATED: APR 19, 2010 Bottleof vintage 2007. Wow, what a fantastic beer! Pours a nice opague black color with no light coming through it what so ever, with almost no head, just a small tan lacing. The aroma is very powerful and complex. I get alot of whiskey, also really dark espresso coffee, roasted and charcoaly malts, dark fruits and some alcohol. Flavour is agian full of whiskey with a ton of deeply roasted malts and alot of very dark espresso coffee. i also get charcoal, some over ripe dark fruits especially dates, chocolate, wood, vanilla and molasses. Deffinetley not boozy, but some alcohol is present, but it is very smooth. The body is full with a nice and creamy mouthfeel, that completley coats your mouth. Overall a very complex Imperial Stout, with alot of whiskey in both flavor and aroma. Deffinetley worth seeking/checking out! cgreb (422) - Marburg, GERMANY - APR 14, 2010
bottle - (asheft) black and oily beer with a thin beige head. Aroma has tons of vanilla and oak! Flavour is complex. Some spices like cinnamon, lots of vanilla and coffee. Medium bitterness. High alcohol is hidden behind a nice maltiness. Full body. skortila (5966) - Baarn, NETHERLANDS - APR 12, 2010

Pitch black with no head at all. Wonderful aroma dominated by coffee, caramel, raisins, prunes and alcohol notes. Full bodied with roasted malt flavors, ripe fruit, some port. Very complex and tasty. I could drink this every day !
