Thnx Bullit! Had it in Scotland. Black colored brew. Roasted aroma, sweetness, oak, chocolate, mocca. Oak, chocolate, mocca in the flavor. Really good smooth beer.

Bottle (2014 vintage). Black body with a thin tan head that quickly fades. Faint lacing. Aroma of cocoa powder, brandy-soaked fruit, fudge, oak and treacle. Flavour of hazelnut, tar, prunes and sharp plum. The finish is peppery with a welcome boozy warmth. Medium to full body with a creamy texture. Light fizz. A sumptuous treat.

2011 vintage bottle on Christmas Day. This was like no beer I have drunk before. It looked beautiful and had a thick, oily, long lasting and pleasing mouth feel. The alcohol was forward, but in a good way. The flavours were malt, coffee, tar, chocolate, whiskey, port and brandy. Every sip was a different flavour, with a foundation of a velvet texture. A very long finish in my mouth. Yes, probably the best beer I have ever drunk in my life and it deserves that top score.

Bottle thanks to allmvinyl. Finally, a chance to rate this historic beer. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - intense dark chocolate, nuts, some toffee or burnt sugar, Taste - tonnes of dark chocolate, tangy toffee, some wood but well integrated. Palate - rich and well rounded with a long delicate taper off in the finish. Overall - lovely beer.

Duże rozczarowanie. Brak czekolady, wanilii, kawy. Smakuje jak niezły Porter Bałtycki, dominują ciemne owoce. Niestety średnio :(
