Dark nut brown color, almost opaque, small off-white head. Caramel malty aroma, slightly nutty. Decent body for this ABV. Light palate. Caramel, nuttyness, light toasted note and paperness. Old bottle but not yet infected.

22nd May 2010. ChrisOs Blue Ridge Mountains Of Virginia tasting! Clear dark brown beer. Light palate - a touch watery. Tangy dark malt and a whisper of smokiness. Finishes light and crisp. Comes over as a very light porter. Not bad.

Bottle under the name Meadow Brown. Very dark brown. Leathery ash in the aroma. Taste is sour with liquorice sweetness and slight dryness. Plenty of flavour in this distinctly porterish mild.
