COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask: Regular.
A superb mix of Maris Otter pale, Munich and Carapils malts along with East Kent Goldings, Styrian Goldings and Cascade hops. By combining Maris Otter, the best British ale malt, with malts normally used in the finest continental lagers gives a beer with good body, caramelised undertones and a distinct gold colour. This fine recipe gives a beer that will appeal to ale drinkers and lager drinkers alike.

Cask at Greyhound, Hartshill. Pours golden. Quite a sweet smooth session gold. Pleasant.

Polypore (2) - Kent, ENGLAND - MAY 9, 2017 does not count
Poured clear from bottle, noticeably ’carbonated’ with a thick white head which dissipated quickly - much like a lager. Strong hop aroma, even the Golding’s came through. Quite a hop bite which lingered long on the palate. Subtle biscuit notes from the Munich malt do break through creating a pleasant after taste. Very quaffable and didn’t last long.

11th Nov 2016: 500ml bottle into an ’Old Speckled Hen’ badged vase shaped pint glass (at home). Shared with no one. This golden coloured pale ale had a thin but lasting white head and was hop centric on a light malty base. Easy drinking brew and a good start to a mini-session I had once the others turned up to play.

guzgorog (865) - FRANCE - MAR 30, 2015

mr_h (5476) - Ayr, SCOTLAND - JAN 3, 2015
Cask by hand-pump at Bon Accord, Glasgow - clear golden amber, thin bubbly white head, fruity, grain aroma, no lacing, malty, grain flavour, good carbonation

Bottle from Ales By Mail [080814]
Golden amber, clear, frothy white head, some lacing
Aroma of soft citrus, soft lemon, clean nose, light pale malts, slight floral notes
Taste of pale malts, soft dry citrus, slight smoky hay, some spicy hop notes, taste not quite as good as aroma, getting the Styrian Goldings
Palate - soft carb, light to medium body. Finish is quite dry, some slight biscuity malt, spicy bit smoky bitter finish, a tad rough
Overall - Not bad but some rough edges
