Red Top is a traditional English Ale but with a more relaxed taste. It is brewed using our unique combination of Maris Otter, Crystal and Brown Malt, with Challenger, East Kent Golding and Cascade hops. The result in a rich tan coloured beer, that is balanced on the palate, with a hint of citrus aroma. It shows all the characteristics of best English bitter

bartlebier (4261) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - APR 18, 2017
500ml bb12/2017, Pantiles Tunbridge Wells, paired with the season first BBQ-grilled salmon. - Diluted quality toffee working in precision-league accord with dried orange zest hops, making for a distinctly English, earthy dry sessioner with plenty of rural hopfarm quality. A bite to the creaminess, like shrub, moist curry and tealeaves combined with the dairy cream toffee...made for UK food and sampling in situ.

BlackHaddock (8129) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - OCT 30, 2016
500ml bottle into a UK pint sleeve at home on 30th Oct 2016 (BBE Nov 2016, so one month in date) after taking the dog for a walk and picking up leaves of my lawns; God has chosen me again to have ’The Garden of Leaves’: no idea where they come from but I have a ’foliage force’ or leaf magnet under the gardens because every year we get them. No one else on the street does, no one; I am beginning to think someone is actually dumping a wheelbarrow full of leaves at the dead of night from a local park or something! Anyway, back to the beer: Chestnut/mahogany in body colour, weak, wispy head. Malty lead in both the nose and taste, good balance though, the hops playing their part in this easy drinking Bitter. Would like to try this in cask form: hopefully will one day.

UPDATED: AUG 4, 2016 Bottle. Appearance is very clear amber, a small fizzy beige head which doesn’t last long. Aroma- toffee, malt, hoppy hints, some chocolate, brown bread. Taste- malts, hint of yeast, caramel, toast, some raisin towards the finish. Not bad. Cask. Pours amber and clear with a foamy beige head. Aroma- malty with dark fruit undertones. Taste is very malty, hints of blackcurrant, nutty, vinous, rye hints, caramel malt backbone, bitter malty finish. Mouthfeel nice and foamy. A good cask ale.
