nocheinbier (61) - London, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 27, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 27, 2017 From a bottle. Dark brown in colour, with a thin head. Roast malt, dark chocolate aroma, cherry coffee port and dark chocolate notes in the taste. Medium body, good balance but not overwhelming great taste. It lacks the sweetness of a proper tasty stout. It's worth the 3 pounds i paid for in the off license mainly for its rarity and it's always good to support a local brewer, and definitely will get it again in a pub or beer festival.

Presque noire, presque plate. Nez de pain grillé, café. Bouche légèrement sur le malt grillé, café. Corps léger. Stout légère, très buvable mais manque de caractère.

eastkenttom (135) - herne bay, Kent, ENGLAND - NOV 7, 2014
Not offensive, but a bit too subtle for its own good. Bordering on bland. Wouldn’t buy it again.

jmgreenuk (9870) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - DEC 16, 2013
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a deep mahogany with a thin tan head. The aroma is dry roast, dark chocolate and a little liqourice. The flavour is medium bitter with a smooth creamy liqourice palate. Medium to heavy bodied with soft carbonation. Promised so much, but delivered little.
