Flaske 750ml spandert av djoeye. Delt med ham & Rune på Nerstranda 6 Nov 16. Åpner med et lett skudd. Aprikosfarget. Uklar. Pen lacing. Forsiktig trearoma. Smaken urter & trær. Innslag av tjære. Litt medisinsk. Blir for søt.

750ml cork and wire bottle shared by djoeye at a rating session with him and Finn. White bubbly ring to the rim of the surface. Hazy apricot coloured body. Spotty lacing. Modest honeyed fruity smell, lightly spice. More prominent spiced fruity flavours, hints of ginger, apricot, ripe citrus and honey. Fine bodied. Very sweet slow drink, nice in smaller amounts. Perfect for sharing (At Finns place, Tromsø 06.11.2016).

Aroma; fruit bowl, caramel, leaves, honey, nice blended full aroma. Look; off white head, hazy apricot caramel body. Taste; strong caramel, malts, honey, toffee, leaves, supersweets - leading to a honey-caramel finish. Feel; soft with strong body. Overall; nice herbal mead sipper. Bottle, 0.75l, shared with Hoppiness crew. Pours hazy light brown color with thin creamy white head and soft visible carbonation. Strong aroma of honey, bread, toasted malts and burnt sugar. Taste is dominated by heavily sweet honey, there’s also some caramel, raisins and malty hints present. It’s mouth coating, warming and almost without any bitterness. Full body, syrupy texture and soft carbonation in palate. Heavenly sweet, quite annoying...

(6) Slightly above average. Fun beer for christmas. Opened it and drank it - it is too sweet (don’t get upset now) too sweet for me - maybe you love the sweetness in a mjød beer - and in that case - good for you.

Bottle, many thanks to madmitch76, shared with Simon at Round Tower Brewery, 2nd July 2015. Simon wanted to try this style so fortunately I was able to keep and bring this one. Aroma is pure honey, sugar, barely and bread. Taste is honey, sweet malts, bread dough, rye, blackcurrants and barely. Great bitterness. Really perfect for style. No oxidation. Reminds me of Chimay Rouge meets Thomas O’Hardy and a beer Thornbridge made with Heather Honey.. Really good honey usage. It was extremely clean and not oxidised. I am surprised by the low rates.

Bottle. Dark brown/amber, white small head. In aroma malt, caramel, some raisins and honey. In taste caramel, candi sugar. The beer is sweet with medium to low bitter finish. Medium to full body, meidum carbonation. Sweet, big bodied and unbalanced by low bitterness. Not bad but I expected more.
