Our lightest offering is brewed in the German Helles (Pale) Lager style. This light and drinkable beer is brewed from imported German 2-row barley malt. The Coqui has a straw yellow color and a clean, crisp flavour. A rare all-malt light brew, Coqui pairs well with seafood, tapas and light dishes.Brewed iac with the German Reinheitsgebot. Only Barley Malt, Hops, Water, and yeast. Naturally carbonated. Not pasteurized. Not filtered.

Tap @brewpub. Clear color, small white head. Grainy, malty aroma. Light-bodied. Grainy, citrus malty, clean palate. Decent.

500 ml bottle poured a clear yellow with a lastinbg white head. Aromas of bread and light yeast. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of bread, light straw and a hint of fruitiness with a crisp dry finish.

Pretty good for style. Has a nice prominent barley aroma. Low carbonation, very low for style. Pours cloudy yellow with good lacing, no head. Watery consistency. On tap at brewpub.

kramer (6682) - Sunbury, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 24, 2012
Tap, brewpub. Pours a clear pale yellow body with a small fizzy white head. The nose is lightly bready with a touch of a corn like note even though it says that it’s all malt. The flavor is light and laced with corn notes, fairly short finish. Not a whole lot of hops to speak of. Thin and fizzy body, not especially clean or crisp. Not terrible, decent for what it was.

In short: A awkwardly fruity golden ale that tastes like old past due-date orange juice. Bad.
How: Tap at brewpub.
The look: Cloudy golden-orange body topped by a persistent small white head.
In long: Nose is a bit fruity (oranges, tangerines) and some corny cereals. Taste is equally fruity with an overall sensation of breakfast juice (orange juice mixed with grapefruit juice). This beer had way too much of an old past due-date orange juice flavor with the awkward acidity. Light body and with a soda-pop carbonation. It is almost refreshing because it is fruity and a bit acidic, but ultimately this is a poorly made beer and it tastes too much like a past due-date fruit juice with carbonation. They were selling gift cards at the brewpub, which raises the question, how much do you need to hate someone for that?

Sampled at the brewpub in Old San Juan. Ubiquitous color and appearance. Sweetish aroma. Some hay and grass in the flavors. Mild and friendly. Easy to enjoy with its gentle like behavior and manners. Some very mild bitter bite on the finish, but very acceptable.

Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 11, 2011
draft @ brewpub. Very nice hellas--crisp and clean with good expression of grassy hops. Refreshing with good sweet malt character too.

SHIG (4962) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - APR 21, 2012
Draft: Poured a clear light with a light white head. Sweet grass aroma. Taste was of soft grain really fresh and smooth.

27 oct 07, on tap @ Old Harbor Brewery in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. Described to me as being like Medalla Light. Not a good way to start! Why do these people like this beer so much? Deep golden color, White head. Aroma of sweet malt. Flavor is very malty. Slowly followed by a sharp bitterness. Light bodied and still chewy. Overall: A "better" light beer!

goldtwins (4320) - Nesconset, New York, USA - JUL 29, 2006
Clear pale golden color with a medium white head. The aroma is malty and very grainy. Mlaty flavor with a light bitter finish. Light to medium bodied.
