Doesn’t exactly taste like a weizenbock. There’s a lot of barley here, cereal and some hops. Good head and lacing. Pours golden copper. Aftertaste bitter with a touch of funky booze. Hops prominent in aroma and some boozy sweetness. Tap at brewpub. Beershine (5224) - VANCOUVER, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 11, 2011
Seasonal draft @ brewpub. Cloudy copper, a bit muddy. Strong malty nose. Sweet fruity yeast. Almost detecting some peaches. The dark malts work well. It’s not a great weizenbock but the malt character is nice. unclemattie (4358) - Georgia, USA - JUN 30, 2010
My favorite style
Tap @ OHB (during a downpour). Opaque purple color, white head. Aroma of fruit, raspberries, bananas. Toasted wheat, malt, and cloves. Tons of fruit aroma. Flavor is very sweet, toasted wheat malt. Loads of sugars and even more fruit. Lots of raspberries and very nice banana, with hints of bread. Even a touch of chocolate, as it warms. Smooth creamy texture. Heavy bodied. Sweet finish. The best Beer in P.R.!
