Average light brown head. Heavy toasted molasses malt with hints of raisins, plums, brown sugar and smokey oak. Initial flavor of flowers very smooth watery slightly sweet flower 2 stage beer. Finished with mild coffee and slightly bitter. Average-long after taste. Mild boy with watery texture and soft carbonation. Very drinkable. mmmbeer (1418) - Austin, Texas, USA - JAN 17, 2009
From the 1st of 3 growlers that "the boy" brought with him to escape the cold of MI- ha ha ha! Served in shakers- poured opaque brown with tints of black, nice one finger head formed, bubbled, and let me know what was up. Aroma of malt, brown sugar, and pistachio and walnuts. Hits the mouth with a medium body, malt is defined and held up well for the wait and transport, some crude brown sugar in the middle, finish is clean. Not bad, not bad. 1st growler gone in 20 minutes, what does that tell you?
