500ml Bottle: Pours a clear light amber with no head retention. Some caramel on the nose with slight notes of cabbage. Cabbage follows through in the flavour as well as some band aid and slight flavours of caramel and toast. Medium to light bodied, medium carbonation with low bitterness. Overall not pleasant. dimeon (322) - Johannesburg, SOUTH AFRICA - OCT 12, 2016
A: Reddish brown with a small, quickly dissipating head.
N: Toffee, and some faint astringency.
T: Slightly sweet. Then roasted malts and finally a bitter finish.
P: The beer finishes better than it starts, with the bitterness better than the sweetness for me.
O: The sweetness doesn’t really work well with the style for me, but the beer was also undercarbonated, which may have counteracted the sweetness and brought it back into balance. Coolmac (58) - SOUTH AFRICA - JUN 14, 2014
Very malt aromas, some meanoidins, sweet. Dark copper with thin off white head. Taste is malty with strong diacetyl, quite slick mouth feel with low carbonation. Still enjoyable and quite easy drinking. sivrat (3) - - JUN 14, 2014 does not count
Boiled sweets nose, good balanced bitterness leaving a drying pallet. Buttery mouth feel, but not out of context for an English type ale. aleksander9 (1788) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUN 12, 2014
Amber with white head. Aroma is mostly toffee. Smooth palate. Aftertaste is sweet toffee. Overall: well made, but lacks creativity.

Draught at Unity, Durban. Amber colour, slight haze. The aroma is light and with a hint of caramel. Fairly crackery, slightly worty and underhopped. Ok amber.
