A classic amber ale severely over-hopped at the finish of the kettle boil. Originally a mistake, this is now one of our best sellers.

On tap at Old Market, pours a crystal clear amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of resinous hops, some pine and toasted bready malt. Flavour is robust, with Belgian yeast, bready malt, some caramel and a wallop of resinous dry hopping. Long bitter finish that works pretty well. Nice stuff.

On tap: A: Opaque copper with a thin white head. N: Substantial spruce and earth. Pineapple, grapefruit, biscuit, and even a hint of rapsberry. T: Densely bitter - submerged leaves. Minor sweetness. M: Medium body, very dense with lower carb levels. O: a throwback brew, what I remember drinking a lot of when I first started my beer journey.

maekchu (4069) - Hirakata, JAPAN - FEB 23, 2013
Draught at the Broadway Grill and Brewery in Portland. Walked into the place looking for some food, and had no idea that it was a brewpub and had never heard of Old Market. In a town with so many breweries I suppose that is to be expected. Anyway.... this beer has a good, moderate citrus aroma/ Light copper color, with a thin creamy head. Very hop-forward initial / more hops in mid, and then some balance takes hold / strong, dirty hop trails in the finish. Medium body. Some good mouthfeel/texture from hops. Perhaps too much hopping for the light O.G. Tastes much more like a hopped-up pale ale than an amber. Solid stuff.

Nikiel (879) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 5, 2011
On tap at OMP with Jeff. Pours a light amber with white foam. Smells of very floral hops. Tastes bitter and hoppy with hints of overly bitter strawberries and extra hops.

For an IPA, not quite bitter, for an amber too much. Kind of a weird brew, but good nonetheless.

BuckeyeBoy (8568) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUN 22, 2007
