This one is loaded with spicy hops. Amber ale? Better call this one an IPA. Very fresh hop taste. Hops all over. BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - JAN 13, 2007
[Tap - Old Market Pub]
This was a deep golden yellow with a good head. Had lots of hops tot he aroma and the flavor. Loved the beer this was a great IPA. A good use of malt and lots of hops. 3fourths (9331) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 27, 2003
Light copper and slightly murky. West coast hop aroma and in flavor, with a very fresh grapefruit flavor. Slightly bitter, like a light IPA with a sweet peach aroma. harlequinn (2744) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - FEB 17, 2006
This is a very nice little APA. A very big grapefruit nose, and also that trademark hoppy funkiness with a nice fresh malty aroma as well. This has a very pleasing flavor on the palate, very well balanced and one of the better beers I tried here. maekchu (3847) - Hirakata, JAPAN - FEB 23, 2013
Draught at the Broadway Grill and Brewery in Portland. Walked into the place looking for some food, and had no idea that it was a brewpub and had never heard of Old Market. In a town with so many breweries I suppose that is to be expected. Anyway.... this beer has a good, moderate citrus aroma/ Light copper color, with a thin creamy head. Very hop-forward initial / more hops in mid, and then some balance takes hold / strong, dirty hop trails in the finish. Medium body. Some good mouthfeel/texture from hops. Perhaps too much hopping for the light O.G. Tastes much more like a hopped-up pale ale than an amber. Solid stuff.

On tap at OMP. Pours a clear copper color with a small white head. A light fruity nose. The flavor is bready, fruity, citrus hops, lemons, light resin. Solid. BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - FEB 7, 2004
Tawny, light filtered color. Aroma is freshly hopped almost like an IPA with a nice caramel balance. more hops than afican amber even. good finish, very well built. I approve! 11026 (1772) - Alabama, USA - APR 30, 2005
Tap. An amber?? From the name I expected an IPA. Deep amber in color, scant off-white head. Malt and hop aroma, much more hop presence than I would expect from an amber ale. Medium bodied. Pleasant hop flavor with adequate malt balance. Fair as an IPA better as an amber Nikiel (879) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 5, 2011
On tap at OMP with Jeff. Pours a light amber with white foam. Smells of very floral hops. Tastes bitter and hoppy with hints of overly bitter strawberries and extra hops. IndianaRed (4546) - Boise, Idaho, USA - APR 29, 2007
