This was a really nicely done fruit beer. The fruit really stands out on its own, with a great raspberry flavor that does not taste overly artificial but has a genuine fruit flavor. The malt factor is standalone as well, with a bit more boldness than I expected. Somehow this all comes together and manages to be balanced. beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - JAN 17, 2005
On tap at the Old Market. Well after the Great White Wheat I was getting a bit scared, would this one taste metallic as well? yep, but this brew covered up its armor with a big syrupy sweet blast of barrilicous flava. Way overly sweet, almost sickening by the end of this, I can’t imagine drinking a whole pint of this, thankyou but no. Volgon (2761) - Manchester, New Hampshire, USA - AUG 3, 2004
RBSG 2004: Hazy amber with a small white head. Huge berry aroma, starts sweet and then gets more sweet. Watery texture and softly carbonated. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - JUL 24, 2004
(RBSG04) Cloudy golden body with whote head. Aroma is strong artificial raspberry -- very sweet. Taste is medium sweet, raspberry, wheat, light hoppy finish with bit of astringency. Light body. Murphy (1759) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - FEB 9, 2004
Berry dominance all over this one. This tastes like bubble gum or cough syrup. Too much berries maybe? Nice color though.

good raspberry aroma, fresh, semi sweet, lightly assertive to convey the fruit. no head, hazy blond color. The flavor tastes like raspberry laffy taffy. interesting balance but still weird. 3fourths (9367) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - DEC 30, 2003
Murky light orange. Sugary cereal smell, medicine-like. Bad mouthwash and toothpaste “grape” flavor.
