On tap at the Old Market. This brew ended up being the best of the brews on the taster tray. Pours a darker red with a medium off-white head. Lots of fruity hops in the aroma, fairly aromatic. Taste starts with a light fruitiness to the very lightly sweet malts. This brew finishes with a nicely balanced floral/citrus hop finish. Not overly bitter, but a good dose of hops makes this a good refreshing brew.

Milder than I would have preferred, but nicely done in the same sense, quite well balanced. Malty, and full of rich fruitiness, perhaps some spearmint, that I am sure has something to do with a hop characteristic that I just cannot put my finger on. Definitely quenches the thirst.

troopie (2301) - Munchen an der Willamette, Oregon, USA - NOV 9, 2007
Draught. Poured deep red, like a red wine with a lasting beige head. Much lacing. Hoppy aroma with some citrus. Hoppy and peppery flavour, with a fine bitterish finish.

A decent red, better then most of their beers. Pours a very nice deep red with a tan head. Not much of any smell, a tad nutty. Taste is smooth and malty, with caramel and a nutty finish. Had on tap at the brewery. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Good hop aroma. Nice balance between sweetness and hops. Hop aftertaste. Don't know if this fits the style correctly.

Tap at old market, portland, or. Malty aroma with toffee and caramel notes. Pours a dark ruby red with very little head and no lacing. Malty to start with toffee and caramel flavors. Finishes dry and slightly bitter with a hint of chocolate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A brown color with a small head. The flavor was typical of an amber...some citrus, hops and a little bitterness.
