On tap at OMP. Pours a cloudy reddish color with a medium white head. A big malty sweet nose. Very sweet, caramel, dusty nutty malts. Flavorful. Decent. harlequinn (2744) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - FEB 19, 2006
Milder than I would have preferred, but nicely done in the same sense, quite well balanced. Malty, and full of rich fruitiness, perhaps some spearmint, that I am sure has something to do with a hop characteristic that I just cannot put my finger on. Definitely quenches the thirst. monk191 (2006) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 20, 2016
A decent red, better then most of their beers. Pours a very nice deep red with a tan head. Not much of any smell, a tad nutty. Taste is smooth and malty, with caramel and a nutty finish. Had on tap at the brewery.

Keg at the brewpub, Beaverton, 11/11/14.
Murky amber with a thin beige swirl atop the glass.
Nose is biscuit, caramel, spice, red berry fruit notes, dusty hops.
Taste comprises rich caramel, biscuit malt, light spice and fruit notes.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Adequate offering. mcberko (18067) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 26, 2016
On tap at Old Market, pours a deep dark red with a small white head. Aroma brings out toasted bready malt, light hop resins and toasted caramel. Flavour is robust, with bready malt, hop resins and a rather abrasive astringency on the finish. Nice ambition but it’s rather harsh. Okay. microdyke (360) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 22, 2003
A brown color with a small head. The flavor was typical of an amber...some citrus, hops and a little bitterness.
