A decent red, better then most of their beers. Pours a very nice deep red with a tan head. Not much of any smell, a tad nutty. Taste is smooth and malty, with caramel and a nutty finish. Had on tap at the brewery.

On tap at Old Market, pours a deep dark red with a small white head. Aroma brings out toasted bready malt, light hop resins and toasted caramel. Flavour is robust, with bready malt, hop resins and a rather abrasive astringency on the finish. Nice ambition but it’s rather harsh. Okay. brewery. Slightly hazy, dark reddish brown body with a dense beige head. Nice, mild aroma of sweet malt, caramel and hops. Flavor is refreshing caramel malt, some chocolate and balanced bitter. Rich and hoppy body, a bit more like a hoppy brown ale than red.
Draught. Poured deep red, like a red wine with a lasting beige head. Much lacing. Hoppy aroma with some citrus. Hoppy and peppery flavour, with a fine bitterish finish. BuckeyeBoy (7663) - Boise, Idaho, USA - JUN 22, 2007
